Grandfather Teaching: Honesty

Sasquatch – Walker in Truth

Paw Print Design: Large humanoid footprint with forest texture and shadowed edges

Among the oldest stories carried by the land is that of a being who walks quietly between the trees — seen by few, yet known by many. The Sasquatch leaves behind no false trail, no disguise, and no pretence. It moves as it is, without bending to please the eyes of others.

In the Sacred Grandfather Teachings, Sasquatch carries the lesson of Honesty.

Honesty is more than telling the truth — it is living the truth. It is to stand in your own footprints without pretending to be something you are not. It is to face the world as your whole self, even when judgment or doubt may follow.

When we live honestly, we make peace with ourselves. We free our spirits from the weight of hiding. And we allow others to trust our word, our actions, and our presence.

The Sasquatch reminds us:

"When you are true to yourself, the Earth will know your name."

This teaching asks us to let go of the masks that hide our hearts. It teaches that the deepest respect we can show to others is to be exactly who we are, no matter who is watching.

Design Meaning: The large humanoid footprint symbolizes authenticity and the courage to walk your own path. The forest texture represents harmony between one’s inner truth and the natural world.

Cultural Note: This story honors the Sacred Seven Grandfather Teachings, shared and passed down through generations by many Indigenous Nations. This representation is offered with respect, humility, and acknowledgment of the deep cultural roots of this teaching.
