THE STORY // AS IT IS TOLD HERE

High above the rolling hills and endless waters, the Eagle soars where only the winds are strong enough to carry it. From this sacred height, it sees the whole of Creation: every river and stone, every forest and sky, every life in its path — the strong and the struggling, the joyful and the grieving.

The Eagle does not choose which lives to care for. It loves without conditions. Its gift is the clearest vision — to see all beings as they are and still recognize their worth.

Ride the morning thermal with it and the lesson sharpens. Far below, a fawn takes its first unsteady steps in the meadow grass; two ridges away, a storm is building that will test every nest in the valley. The Eagle's eye holds both at once — the fragile beginning and the coming hardship — and it does not look away from either. That is what love actually is at that height: attention that refuses to select. Nothing is too small to be seen. No one is written off as too far gone to matter.

In the Sacred Grandfather Teachings, the Eagle carries the lesson of Love. Love is not simply a feeling of the heart; it is an action, a responsibility, and a way of being. To love is to act in kindness even when it is hard. It is to give without the weight of expectation. It is to stand for those who cannot stand alone, and to protect life even when no one is watching.

And Love is the root from which all other teachings grow. Without love, respect becomes empty, courage falters, honesty bends, wisdom clouds, humility fades, and truth is lost. With love, every other path becomes possible.

THE INVITATION // WHAT LOVE ASKS OF US

When you carry love, you rise above the storms. You see farther. You understand deeper. And you walk in a way that leaves no one behind.

So the questions Love asks are the Eagle's questions. What would I see if I looked at this from the whole height, not just my corner of it? Who is struggling inside the edge of my vision that I have been choosing not to notice? And who gets left behind if I act only on what is easy to feel?
